Under a voyage charter, the charter may not be the shipper of the cargo. So as soon as he receives his freight, he doesn’t have any further interest in the ship and voyage.
This should be clearly stated in C/P that the ‘Charterers are exercising the Cessar Clause’. This clause ensures charters interest till the time the cargo is delivered safely.
