The only problem with the framo pumps -

1. it is hard to identify and repair damages like a rupture. Indeed, if the pump loses its integrity and starts to leak, the components may start getting corroded without any sign being seen since it is submerged. While these cases are rare, in the event they occurred the damages may be identified too late.

2. The second disadvantage, while being quite obvious, is the cost. Effectively, due to their technical nature and all the safety units required, framo pumps tend to have a higher cost than regular ones.
