CSC plate is a valid safety approval plate which states that the container has been tested, inspected and maintained in accordance with CSC regulations. The CSC plate is fixed on the outside of the door of container where it can be easily read. The containers are required to be inspected by the administration. It gives important information such as -

3. Date Manufactured
4. Container Number
5. Gross mass
6. Allowable Stacking weight
7. Racking test
8. Name of classification society
9. Approval Number
10. Owners name and address
11. Nature of timber treatment / fumigation details
