Asking this question is beyond the scope of PSCO duties and responsibilities if at all, family members /supernumeraries presence is NOT affecting the safety of the vessel. An eg of such situation is when the presence of family members results in total crew Members exceeding the lifeboat capacity of the vessel. S long the safety and security is not compromised the PSCO doesn’t interfere in this matter
