Procedure for carrying out the Boiler Safety valve adjustment and overhauling -
▪ Open pad lock
▪ Screw back the compression screw
▪ Take out the compression ring and take necessary personal safety as per caution and arrange tool ( gagging tool )
▪ Screw down compression screws
▪ Raise boiler pressure to the required blow off pressure
▪ Screw back compression screw until valve blows
▪ Then screw down the compression screw carefully ¼ turns
▪ Tap the valve spindle by small rubber hammer until the valve return to its seat and remain close
▪ We set, split compression rings have to be fitted then hood keys, pad locks and easing gear
▪ Finally check and operate easing gear to ensure it is in good working condition
