A Note of Protest shall be issued in following situations -

1. Whenever during the voyage, the ship has encountered rough weather
2. When from any cause, ship is damaged or damage is expected to be sustained
3. When due to weather, the normal precautions for cargo (such as ventilation) has not been carried out
4. When cargo is shipped in such a condition so that it is likely to get damaged
5. When Charter Party is breached
6. When consignee fails to discharge cargo, pay freight, take delivery
7. Issue NOP in all cases of General Average
